SIGNAL RECALL — HOLD THE TRANSMISSION

SIGNAL LENGTH 00 AWAITING TRANSMISSION
HELD 00

How to play Signal Recall

  1. Press Begin transmission. The machine flashes a sequence of gold tiles on the 3×3 bank — the first signal is three steps long.
  2. When the status line reads Repeat the signal, tap the tiles in the same order.
  3. Each successful repeat extends the signal by one step and it replays from the start. One wrong tile terminates the run.
  4. Your score is the longest signal held. Personal records are stored on this device.

What this drill trains

Signal Recall is a classic working-memory span task — the same family of exercises used in cognitive research since the 1970s. Holding an ordered sequence and reproducing it under pressure exercises the phonological loop and visuospatial sketchpad: the mental scratch space you use to keep a phone number, a route, or a code phrase alive while acting on it.
